Episode 3 of All’s Fair is definitely the most fun so far, maybe because it includes a whole scene where Kim K’s character admits to having done every de-aging treatment/procedure under the sun to stay young, while Glenn Close tells her and the rest of the gang that there’s no point in what’s on the outside; it’s all about how old you feel on the inside. Okay, I’m not going to lie, seeing a woman do that to a man’s face was a little bit uncomfortable, because I just feel like it’s going too far, and we’re really not that keen on revenge? Or am I just not in with the kids anymore? This episode leaves us on a cliffhanger, so we’ll have to wait an entire week to find out how Allura’s doing and what problems this whole situation is going to create, but for now, we just have to enjoy the little victories, I guess. With that said, let’s jump into episode 3 of All’s Fair.
Spoiler Alert
What Happens To The Rockstar?
Episode 3 of All’s Fair begins with the women sitting around a table and talking about their experiences with cosmetic treatments. I’m not sure how many of these we should believe are true, but I’m honestly so afraid we’re all going to turn into Lady Cassandra from Doctor Who by the time we’re 40 at this rate. Anyway, Dina closes with a bit about how aging is inevitable, because once you start doing these things, would you ever stop? But Emerald conveniently concludes that everyone should do what they like to be happy. Additionally, Liberty takes the liberty of telling them all how much she enjoys being with them, and that’s what makes her younger.
The client for this episode is Lee-Ann, and she comes to the firm, you guessed it, having done too many cosmetic procedures, all for a pesky rockstar of a man. Lee-Ann calls her connection with Tommy spiritual and electrifying, but when she was close to 40, he decided to pull the “you’re so ugly now” card and essentially forced her to change up her face. Now I know we’re thinking, “But she probably did it herself because he wants her to be ‘beautiful,’” but the proof that the team uses against Tommy tells us that he made Lee-Ann do much more than the little fillers she wanted to get to appease him, sigh. Lee-Ann wins the case and gets a massive payout, probably an amount some of us can’t even imagine, but this doesn’t satiate her. What’s money going to do if her face is ruined forever? Her body’s been changed, and he won’t even take responsibility, so she decides to take revenge by throwing acid at his face. This is the most shocking part of the episode to me, and I’m not sure I agree with it, but I guess it’s there to foreshadow what’s coming next, almost. The ladies even warn Allura how this is what happens when women get angry and want revenge (uff).
What Rash Decision Does Allura Take?
In episode 3, Emerald finds out that not only has Chase had multiple partners, apart from Milan, since his marriage to Allura, but he’s been seeing an ex-sex worker who is transgender. Now, at first, I was a bit confused as to why this would be any different than any of the other women he’s seeing, but my dumb brain didn’t realize that she’s afraid of STIs only because the woman has had many partners before. She takes Milan to see a special doctor who apparently doesn’t have any open slots till 2040, so Milan should feel privileged. But also, I guess this is exactly what she wanted, eh? Anyway, on the other hand, Carr tells Dina that she shouldn’t try to J.K. Rowling herself by making this about outing a transgender person, but what Carr wants is half the law firm, along with a million dollars a year for Chase, and if they agree to these terms, Chase will leave the embryos that they froze together to Allura’s name. This is a very low blow, and I don’t yet understand why Chase is being this way and why he went to Carr in the first place. Man could’ve literally just taken whatever she was giving him, but his ego’s too big, I guess, so he just wants to ruin the woman who “made him feel small.” The embryo bit is shocking to Dina, who had no idea about Allura’s secret, all while Carr was threatening to eat them in a salad.
On the other hand, Chase meets with the transgender woman, who tells him that Allura’s asked her to join hands against Chase because they’re both victims. She’s not interested in this situation and knows it would only be beneficial to Allura, so she’s going to ignore it, but that means Chase has to give her a photo-op after it’s all done, and a date. Chase wonders if just that much is enough after complaining about his endorsements, though the man is literally going to be getting a million dollars a year if his plans come through. This man is clearly not it, but this woman is just looking for a good connection, and she wants to try things out with him because it also could be something important to her sisters.
In the middle of all this, Allura gets fixated on the baby that Milan’s going to have, because she’s afraid she’s not going to get the chance to have her own. She bombards the house, asking where the nursery’s going to be, all while Milan’s still drinking alcohol (plus her abs are still showing, she could wait till the bump, no?). Isn’t it too soon, girlie? Anyway, this leads to them having a little heart-to-heart, which results in Allura being struck with a new idea.
At the end of All’s Fair episode 3, Allura forges Chase’s signature and secretly gets the embryos implanted without anybody on her side. When she’s asked to think about a beautiful dreamland, she thinks of Chase and her wedding, and the procedure’s done. Now, there’s a chance Allura could have twins because she’s put in both eggs. She wants to take every chance she can get. But this is a really rash decision, kind of like what Lee-Ann did with the acid, only this time it’s Allura’s body, and she’s already past age 40, which means multiple other complications as it is. This is a really reckless thing to do, especially because of the kind of guy Chase is. Additionally, this would mean there could potentially be 3 babies calling Chase dad coming all at once. I do think that would be kind of funny, but there’s no way these two ladies will be willing to give him family time. On the other hand, there’s a chance the implant doesn’t work, and Allura ends up being childless. Either way she would end up in trouble, but I think it’s possible if she does get pregnant, Chase will go soft on her? If things go the other way, he might double down on the situation and demand even more than he already is, though I don’t know what that could be. I guess the three lawyers will raise these kids like Emerald raised her triplets all by herself (one’s going to MIT thanks to her 140 IQ donor apparently). It’ll be interesting to see what Chase does after learning what Allura’s chosen to do. Maybe she’s got something big on him that she hasn’t chosen to use yet, which would allow her to proceed with her plan in peace. At least Carr can’t eat them now (uff).
