‘Battle Camp’ Final Recap & Ending: Who Does The Wheel Pick?

Published

Battle Camp’s ending definitely feels super underwhelming, because after the contestants work so hard, it’s a wheel that chooses who wins. The survival show brings the hottest reality TV stars in one place to compete for a whopping $250,000. At the beginning of the show, we see the group divided into 3 teams, the Bears, Wolves and Eagles. The campers compete with each other in order to get immunity and not get their names on the “wheel.” This wheel determines who gets eliminated. The team with immunity gets to decide which of the other members gets voted to go on the wheel a second time, and then everyone votes for someone they want to go on the wheel, so it’s all fair play. Until the 5th episode, every time someone gets eliminated, a new person gets added on, but the game then switches to just two teams. In the final episode, we’re down to two members of the blue team, or the bears, but it’s survival of the fittest, because now they’re competing as individuals. The race is to become unbeatable, unbreakable and unhateable. So, let’s find out who wins Battle Camp.

What Do The Campers Have To Do In The Final Episode?

In Battle Camp episode 10, we see Trey leave (finally, took him long enough, eh?), and the 6 remaining contestants chit-chat a bit. The final 6 are Shubham, Chase, Polly, Georgia, Lorenzo and QT. I definitely think it’s a good mix for a fair competition. In the final episode, things are reversed because everybody gets punished, and instead of the losers’ names going on the wheel, it’s the winners’ names that go on the wheel for the chance of winning $250,000. The first punishment is the ice bath again, and whoever can hold their head in the water the longest wins. The second punishment is full throttle, where the campers with the most steps will get their names on the wheel. The three winners of the submerging challenge are Georgia, Lorenzo and Chase. For the second challenge, the winners are Chase, Shubham and Georgia.

The next two challenges are of endurance, and they’re on the wall. The first challenge is endurance hang, where the two poles that the members are standing on will be removed and the person who hangs on for dear life for the longest wins. Yeah, don’t try this at home, kids. Unfortunately, Polly, whose name is not yet on the wheel, can’t participate in this competition because she’s hurt her hand and can’t hold on. So, this leaves 5 people for the challenge and puts two names on the wheel. And the final challenge is called the final drop, where there are 3 planks at the top of the wall, one with the word “drop” on it. The game is one of deception and honesty. So the group gets divided into 2 groups of 3. They decide who gets on one plank first, and then the other two get to ask questions to decide which plank to get on. Whoever ends up on the drop plank loses immunity. In this game, Lorenzo decides to lose because he knows Shubham is terrified of heights, but Polly has also not got her name on the wheel at all, so he basically lets her win. For the second group, Georgia initially teams up with QT to get Chase dropped, but then mid-game, she decides to be honest and tell Chase the truth. But by this time, Chase is super confused, so he chooses to put Georgia on the drop plank, but she says she won’t do it.

Who Do The Campers Vote For?

By this point, the campers who are already friends have kind of teamed up because they’ve either known each other from before, or they’ve really enjoyed each other’s company after joining the game. For QT and Shubham, they’re from The Circle, so they’ve already had a bond because of that, and for Lorenzo and Georgia, they’ve become best friends ever since they joined the show and been on the same team, so they’re very loyal to each other. But, Polly and Chase both came in late and don’t really have a connection with anybody left at camp, so it seems their best strategy is to get each other’s names on the wheel.

So, of course, Lorenzo and Georgia vote for each other, and Shubham and QT vote for each other, but the real moment of suspense is who Chase will vote for. Now, Polly knows by this point that she can’t get her name on the wheel if she doesn’t play it strategically, so she talks to Chase and tells him she’s going to vote for him. Finally, Chase does write down Polly’s name, giving them all a good chance of winning.

Who Wins “Battle Camp?”

In the end, it all comes down to luck, because the wheel finally decides who gets to take home the $250,000. I’m not going to lie, at this point, if I had worked so hard to get there and it was left down to luck, I’d be quite disappointed, but hey, that’s coward talk. In the first episode of Battle Camp, Trey had said there was one person from The Squid Game: The Challenge he didn’t want to compete with in Battle Camp, and that happened to be Lorenzo. Funnily enough, his is the name that gets picked on the wheel for $250,000. I’m honestly quite happy with this result, because I think Lorenzo definitely fits the bill of “unbreakable, unbeatable and unhateable.” I think he was always loyal to his friends, and he never tried to start beef with anyone, unlike some of the other guys, so this is a fair win for sure.
