‘Bitch X Rich 2’ Episodes 3-4 Recap & Ending Explained: Does Hae-In Really Have Amnesia?

Published

I don’t know about you, but I feel supremely disconnected from Bitch X Rich, not only because it’s been a while since the first season came out, but also because of how over-dramatic it’s been while giving us little to nothing of the actual story. The major thing that happens in these two episodes is the return of Kim Hae-In to school. A lot of what’s happening in this show doesn’t exactly make sense, like Hye-In has got a black card, but who is paying for her stuff? It doesn’t make sense that just because she’s in Diamond 6, she’s suddenly able to afford luxury brands. I don’t think the girl truly understands what she’s up to. The other thing is Hae-In and Do-Eon’s relationship. What’s got Do-Eon so focused on Hae-In? I can’t understand what they really have in common and why Hae-In is so determined to play around with his feelings. Why is she going after people who didn’t do anything to her? I just don’t get it. Please, if someone has answers, let me know. With that said, though, here’s a recap of episodes 3 and 4 of season 2.

Spoiler Alert

Has Hae-In Lost Her Memory?

In episode 3, Hae-In wakes up with a jolt. I mean, she’s been in a coma for so many months; but then she’s suddenly able to wake up and function perfectly fine. Enough to even go back to school. When she shows up at school, everybody is shocked. Already, the Diamond 6 are surprised by the fact that Hye-In is now a part of their group. Je-Na is showing off her power by getting rid of Do-Eon and replacing Oh Si-Eun with Sa-Rang. Do-Eun is mad about it, but it turns out it’s the president’s decision. He tells Do-Eon that it’s really because of his father that he’s been kicked out. But for Hye-In, this doesn’t just mean getting a badge on her collar and a black card, but also that there are now no allegations against her, and Oh Si-Eun’s death has been written off as a suicide. On the other hand, Jin-Wook is trying hard to get Je-Na on his team, though for what exact reason, we’re not sure yet. Meanwhile, Hae-In has all eyes on her, including Woo-Jin and Yul-Hee. Sa-Rang tells Hye-In that her new hair looks nice and that he likes her, which is very weird considering he’s much younger than her.

The next day, when Hye-In sees Bo-Seok bullying a kid, she bumps into him on purpose, dropping her coffee on the floor. She then looks him straight in the eyes and tells him to clean the coffee off her shoes. He doesn’t realize she has the badge at first, but when he sees it, he realizes he has no choice but to give in. She even slaps him for talking back to a Diamond 6 member. This is her punishing him for everything he’s put her through. On the other hand, Hae-In pretends she has amnesia and like she has no idea that she and Do-Eun were dating, etc. But it’s very clear early on that she’s pretending. Yul-Hee catches hold of her and tells her that she has only one week to leave the school. That it’s crazy she would think it was okay to show her face around here again, but Hae-In still pretends she has no idea what Yul-Hee is talking about. The same thing happens with Woo-Jin, who tries to touch Hae-In inappropriately and reminds her that they’ve had sex. He already believes she’s lying.

Meanwhile, it is revealed that Jin-Wook is an illegitimate child, but he’s not ashamed of it. This irks Woo-Jin, who was trying to press his buttons with that information. Jin-Wook seems to be very curious about the deaths that have occured at the school. I wonder why he wants to know. Episode 3 ends with Hye-In and Hae-In meeting at the swimming pool and Hae-In finally revealing to her that she remembers everything. Even with the fact that Hye-In took the necklace from her, she says she gave it to her. I don’t know what kind of revenge Hae-In is plotting, but if they make her look like the bad guy, it’ll be a really sad progression for the show, in my opinion. Oh, also, Je-Na takes Hye-In shopping, making her realize how much money they truly spend.

What Happens At The Party?

Episode 4 takes off right where episode 3 ended, with Hae-In telling Hye-In that she basically stole her slot. Hye-In replies that she’s worked hard to be in the position that she’s in now, even though she feels sorry for Hae-In. Hae-In is shocked and tells Hye-In that she looked the other way while Hae-In was literally dying in front of her and then took her place in the school, making her just as bad as the person who pushed Hae-In. Someone records all of this on their phone, but this could literally be anyone, so I can’t make any guesses as of now. Maybe it was Sa-Rang. Hae-In pushes Hye-In into the swimming pool after she says that she can help her and protect her from Yul-Hee. After getting some food from Sa-Rang and cleaning up, Hye-In finds Oh Si-Eun’s phone, the same one she was looking for desperately when she found her bleeding on the floor because she was blackmailing her. Meanwhile, Black Dog releases scandalous information about the Diamond 6, basically calling them out for being fraudulent. Maybe they are a student in the school, and maybe it’s the same person who took the video. Hye-In is also paranoid that the video of her stripping, which Oh Si-Eun had, is going to get leaked too.

When Hae-In is getting bullied by Bo-Seok, Hye-In saves her from getting a beating. Hae-In then goes on a date with Do-Eon, where she’s still pretending she doesn’t remember anything, but she asks him to take her to a party Jin-Wook has arranged. Just before the party, Hye-In gets a special delivery, a dress for the party, but she doesn’t realize it’s to humiliate her. Hye-In gets all dressed up and goes to the party, where Do-Eon is waiting to walk Hae-In in. Hae-In bumps into Woo-Jin and shows him her true colors, basically revealing that she remembers everything and that she knows that the person who pushed her also knows they had sex, and Woo-Jin might know who it is? I’m not entirely sure if Woo-Jin knows who it is, though. Meanwhile, at the party, Jin-Wook is very curious about Hye-In, but Sa-Rang makes sure she gets out of the situation fine. There’s suddenly a couple dance event, and Hye-In dances with Sa-Rang (still a very weird pairing, but okay).

At the end of Bitch X Rich episode 4, it’s revealed online that Jin-Wook is an illegitimate child. Woo-Jin takes this as an opportunity to insult him, but Jin-Wook grabs him by the collar. Yul-Hee shows up then to stop them from fighting, but that’s when the showstopper Je-Na arrives at the party. She announces then that Jin-Wook is her fiancé, but whispers in his ear not to misread her gesture. She’s finally agreeing to work with him. Yul-Hee tries to use this opportunity to insult her because he’s an illegitimate child, but it doesn’t work because Je-Na sent Hye-In the same dress that Yul-Hee wears to the party. Je-Na ends the episode telling Yul-Hee that her taste is “poor,” leaving Hye-In hurt. It did seem for a second they were becoming actual friends, but I guess that’s not true. Wonder what Je-Na is plotting now.
