In the previous season of Jurassic World: Chaos Theory, we saw that Brooklynn had gone missing, and the general assumption of Kenji and others was that she was dead. But at the end of the first season, we got to know that she was alive and that she was working with a group named DLN that fought against the poaching of dinosaurs. Also, we came to know that someone named the Broker was behind the illegal trade of dinosaurs. So let’s find out what happened in Chaos Theory season 2 and if Kenji and his gang are able to find the whereabouts of Brooklynn and that of the mysterious Broker.

How did Nublar Six reach Senegal?
The Nublar 6 (who, after Brooklynn went missing, were reduced to five members) were on the ship with Captain Lang and his assistant Sullivan, and it was just a matter of time before the latter found out about them. They still didn’t know if Brooklyn was dead or alive, but they wanted to find the Broker so that they could put an end to the illegal trading of dinosaurs. Kenji found Bumpy’s egg in the captain’s cabin and he was able to retrieve it from there. But the cargo ship was hit by a storm, and the box of eggs fell into the ocean. Kenji jumped into the ocean, and Sammy, Yaz, Ben, and Darius stood there dumbfounded, not understanding what he was up to. Kenji was behaving in a weird way after his father’s death. He was trying to act normal, but it was quite evident for the others to notice that he was not doing well. Yaz talked to him a couple of times and advised him not to suppress his emotions. Kenji stopped caring about his life, and he challenged the gods of death at each and every moment as if asking them for a duel. Kenji hadn’t talked to his father for a prolonged period of time before he passed away, and that fact probably haunted him even more. He felt that if he had been there, then the outcome would probably have been different. The others tried being there for him, but Kenji was just not ready to express his feelings. The five of them took a lifeboat and escaped from Captain Lang’s boat. They kept sailing without knowing where they were going. Ben saw the land, and he steered the lifeboat in that direction. Little did the Nublar 6 know that they had reached Senegal, where the Broker had set up a laboratory for doing experiments on dinosaurs and carrying out a secret mission.
How did Zayna meet Kenji and his gang?
In Chaos Theory season 2, Ben saw a video of the Dinosaur Liberation Now, and he noticed something in it. He saw the reflection of the person who was standing in front of the camera and taking the video. That person was none other than Brooklynn. Ben couldn’t believe his eyes, and he wanted to gather more evidence before he told his gang anything about it. Meanwhile, in Senegal, the Nublar Six met Aminata and her daughter Zayna. They both were a part of the Mballos community, and they lived peacefully on the island together with herbivore dinosaurs. They had developed a bond with those dinosaurs, who also protected them against the ferocious and carnivorous predators. Kenji and his gang were getting to learn more about the place and how the dinosaurs had arrived there in the first place, but just then, something unprecedented happened. Some unknown people came, and they not only stole the egg box but also took Zayna’s pet dinosaur, Geba, with them. Captain Lang had attached a tracking device to their lifeboat just before they left, and that was how he was able to track Kenji and his team down.
The crew knew that they had to follow the lead and find out what was happening in Senegal and, most of all, what was the Broker’s ultimate goal. Zayna volunteered to come with them as she knew the place well and, secondly, she wanted to find Geba. Zayna bid adieu to her mother and left with Kenji and his crew. Throughout the way, Kenji kept doing all sorts of reckless things, and he didn’t hesitate risking his life. Yaz tried talking to him, but he was just not ready to open up and express himself. Meanwhile, in season 2, Ben finally made contact with Brooklynn, and she asked him to not risk his life by following her tracks. He just couldn’t figure out how to break the information to the rest of the group, and that dilemma was making him lose his mind.
What did Brooklynn find out about the Broker?
After working for DLN, Brooklynn realized that they knew nothing about the Broker and that the Broker was probably using them as a distraction. Brooklynn had been saved by Ronnie back in the day, and that is how they both became quite close to each other. Brooklynn was a smart girl, and she used the leader of the DLN, named Earnest, to her advantage. She took out information from him about the overseas operations and then secretly took the ship that was supposed to take them to an unspecified location. Brooklynn reached Dubai, and she rented an apartment right opposite where she believed the Broker was staying. Pretending to deliver food, she entered the lavish apartment of the Broker, and she was shocked when she found a sophisticated woman named Soyona Santos there. Soyona was the Broker, and Brooklynn had no clue that she had walked right into the trap. Soyona knew that Brooklynn had arrived in Dubai, and she was keeping an eye on all her movements. Brooklynn managed to escape from Soyona’s penthouse after their first encounter, but then she hatched a plan. She decided to go to Soyona and offer a deal. She told Soyona that she, too, wanted to be a part of her illegal trade so that she could afford a swanky house like her. Soyona didn’t trust her, but she decided to give Brooklynn a fair chance to prove her worth. Brooklynn realized that Soyona was taking her to Senegal, where she had a secret lab where all sorts of experiments were conducted on the dinosaurs. Before leaving, Brooklynn dropped a message to Ben asking him not to come to Senegal, but little did she know that the latter had lost his mobile, and so he did not receive the message she sent him.
Was Brooklyn able to gather evidence against the Broker?
At the end of season 2, we saw that Kenji, Sammy, Ben, Darius, Yaz, and Zayna finally found out Soyona’s secret lab, though they had no clue that the sixth member of their group was also alive and present at the same location. Kenji was livid when he found out that Brooklynn was alive, and he blamed Ben for keeping them all in the dark. Brooklynn found that under the leadership of Dr. Sarr, Soyona was genetically cloning the dinosaurs. She believed that the genetic clones would be much more powerful than the real ones and that she could use them to her advantage. Things didn’t go down well for Dr. Sarr, as he crossed his limits and told Soyona that he wouldn’t follow her orders. Dr. Sarr had created a blind dinosaur that had heightened senses of smell and hearing. Soyona wanted him to create more such prototypes, but the doctor didn’t want to waste his time doing that. That’s when Soyona entered into a brawl with Dr. Sarr, and he was thrown into a pit where he was devoured by his own creation.
To cover her tracks, Soyona destroyed her facility, hoping that Kenji and his team would also die there. But Kenji and his gang were able to escape from there, and then Zayna’s father arrived just in time to escort them to Soyona’s chartered plane. The reunion that we all had been waiting for happened at the end of Chaos Theory season 2. Kenji and Brooklynn finally met, but the latter didn’t stop pretending to be a part of Soyona’s team. Brooklynn knew that unless and until she gathered enough evidence to prove what Soyona was up to, she wouldn’t be able to stop the woman. Brooklynn returned Bumpy’s egg to Ben and then left with Soyona on the plane. Brooklynn wanted to prove that she was loyal, hoping that Soyona put her guard down and she would be able to gather some incriminating evidence against her. Kenji was disheartened, as he still didn’t understand why Brooklynn would do something like that. We got to know that after destroying her lab, Soyona was all set to make a deal with the man who ran the largest dinosaur genetic modification company. So in the next season, we will see Biosyn and Soyona joining forces and expanding their business. It would be interesting to see what Kenji, Ben, Yaz, Sammy, and Darias do next and if they are able to find out about the real reason why Brooklynn decided to change sides and work for their arch-nemesis.
