“Jurassic World Dominion,” is the third film of the Jurassic World Franchise, and a sequel to “Jurassic World: The Fallen Kingdom,” which came out in the year 2018. Colin Trevorrow has directed the film and has also written the screenplay with Emily Carmichael. In “Jurassic World Dominion,” we see that the dinosaurs now share their habitat with humans. There is a situation of chaos and widespread fear as humans still don’t know how to adapt to this violent situation and deal with these terrifying predators, capable of behaving in an erratic manner. Amidst all this, there are some developments made in BioSyn Genetics, under the leadership of Dr. Lewis Dodgson, that make people even more skeptical in an already tense environment. So let’s see what Dr. Dodgson was up to and what implications it has on the lives of others.

‘Jurassic World Dominion’ Plot Summary: What Is The Film About?
There was a lot of tension among the local authorities as they were still trying to find a solution to contain the dinosaurs that had now spread throughout the entire world. Humans still had to learn a lot, and they didn’t know how to coexist with these majestic yet unpredictable creatures. Dinosaurs were causing havoc in the world as they were extremely violent at times. A new problem has arisen in recent times. A black market for these dinosaurs had come up where a lot of illegal poachers posed a threat to these species. That is why the government came up with a solution. They gave the sole collection rights to a company named BioSyn Genetics. The CEO of BioSyn, Dr. Lewis Dodgson, had created a sanctuary in the Dolomite Mountains in Italy, where they studied the immune systems of these dinosaurs for medical purposes and made use of their genetic transfigurations to make new discoveries. The general public had always been skeptical about their endeavors, and there was a rumor floating that they were up to something else. Dr. Ellie Sattler went to meet Dr. Alan Grant when she found out about the big locusts that were destroying every cropland, except the ones that had used BioSyn’s seed. She suspected some foul play on their part, but she couldn’t come to a conclusion unless and until she scrutinized the DNA samples of these locusts, which she could only get from the BioSyn lab. She convinced Alan Grant to come with her as she had already found a way of entering the BioSyn facility legitimately. She had gotten an invite from Dr. Ian Malcolm to visit BioSyn.
Owen Grady and Claire Dearing had adopted Maisie Lockwood, daughter of Charlotte Lockwood. They had been hiding her from the public eye and staying in a cabin in the woods in the Sierra Nevada Mountains. Owen used to train raptors, whereas Claire used to do her bit, and free dinosaurs from illegal poaching facilities. A poacher named Rainn Delacourt was keeping an eye on Maisie and the velociraptor named Blue, which was created by using the DNA of a monitor lizard. Rainn kidnapped Maisie and captured Beta, Blue’s baby. Claire contacts her colleague Franklin, and gets to know that a deal was taking place in Malta, and Maisie and Beta were going to be transported somewhere. Claire and Owen reach Malta and realize that both of them are being transported to BioSyn genetics for some dubious purposes. Claire accidentally bumps into Kayla Watts, who had seen Maisie while she was transporting Beta to the BioSyn Facility. Kayla had been in the air force, and somewhere gets moved by seeing the plight of the aggrieved parents. She decides to help them enter BioSyn on her aircraft, though she knows that it would be an uphill task to do that, considering the strict security measures taken by Dr. Dodgson.
Why Did Biosyn Want Maisie Lockwood And Beta (Velociraptor)? What Was The Project Hexapod Allies?
Hexapod Allies was a project launched by BioSyn Genetics to control the world’s food supply. They had created these genetically altered locusts, but now Dr. Henry Wu from BioSyn realized that they had committed a grave mistake by releasing them. They destroyed all the crops from Iowa to Texas, except the ones that had used BioSyn seeds. Henry Wu tells Dr. Dodgson that they needed to eradicate the locusts that are there in the country as they might end up bringing a famine. But Dr. Dodgson was of a different opinion. He was not ready to compromise on his experiment. He says that Wu’s speculations are far-fetched and that nothing of that sort will happen. He also fears that if people trace the creation of these locusts back to BioSyn, then their whole facility would be shut down by the government. Henry Wu finally meets Maisie and tells her about her mother, Charlotte Lockwood. He tells her how exceptional she was in what she did.
All this time, Maisie and others had thought that her grandfather, Benjamin Lockwood, had made her, but instead, it was her mother, Charlotte, who had made her. Maisie and Beta had one similarity. Both were born genetically identical to their mothers. Charlotte and Blue were both able to reproduce on their own without a mating partner. Charlotte created Maisie through her own DNA, and Benjamin didn’t want anybody to know about this fact because he was worried about their safety. Charlotte soon realized after Maisie’s birth that she suffered from a genetic disorder, and in order to save her daughter from it, she altered every cell in Maisie’s body and changed her DNA. Nobody, except Charlotte, knew how to do that. Henry Wu had called for Maisie and Beta for that very reason. Blue’s DNA had not been changed, whereas Maisie’s had been altered. So he wanted to compare both and develop a pathogen for the locusts and change their DNA. Maisie, though, had other plans. She releases Beta and escapes the lab. She bumps into Dr. Ellie Sattler and Dr. Alan Grant, who are also on the hunt for evidence against Dr. Lewis Dodgson.
‘Jurassic World Dominion’ Ending Explained: Were Maisie And Beta Able To Escape Biosyn?
Owen Grady and Claire Dearing had entered the BioSyn facility on Kayla Watts’ aircraft. The Aerial Deterrent System(ADS) had been turned off by Dr. Dodgson, and their aircraft was attacked by a Quetzalcoatlus, the flying beast. Somehow, they managed to stay alive and started looking for their adopted daughter, Maisie. Ellie and Alan had entered sublevel six and gotten the DNA sample of the locust. Together with Maisie, they started to look for a way out of the situation. That’s when they came to know that it was Ramsay Cole and not Ian Malcolm, who was the whistleblower. He wanted to expose Dodgson’s plan, which had caused a locust pandemic, and that is why he had told Malcolm about the Hexapod Allies. He helps them escape the facility and goes back to the lab so that his cover is not blown. Dodgson realizes that Ian Malcolm had told Ellie about sublevel six and fires him immediately. He is, though, still unaware of Ramsay’s involvement. Ellie, Alan, and Malcolm, together with Maisie, finally meet Claire and Owen. Dr. Dodgson had decided that he would kill all the locusts in his lab, so that Ellie could not link her findings to BioSyn. But there was an accident that changed the course of things. The locusts were able to escape from the execution chamber and went outside into the forest. The whole forest was on fire, and Dr. Dodgson, no matter how much he would have wanted otherwise, was forced to activate the remote herding system and order an immediate evacuation.
All the dinosaurs started moving towards the emergency containment zone, as they got the signal through the chip that was embedded in their bodies. Dr. Dodgson got highly agitated when he got to know that even Ramsay was involved with Malcolm, Ellie, and Alan. He tried to escape but was killed by the dinosaurs midway. Kayla Watts knew that there was a helicopter in the vicinity and that they could escape on it. But due to the activation of the remote herding system, ADS had been turned off. So they split into a group of three. Kayla went to take the helicopter, while Claire and Ellie went to switch the ADS on. Owen, Maisie, and Alan went to capture Beta, as Owen had promised Blue that he would bring her child back. Amidst an epic battle between a T-Rex and a Giganotosaurus, the crew managed to escape the facility. Dr. Henry Wu also escaped with them. He found the pathogen that brought about a genetic change in the locusts. He was able to revolutionize modern genetics. In a surreal moment, Blue got reunited with Beta while Ellie, Alan, and Malcolm brought the truth of BioSyn in front of everybody. BioSyn valley was designated a global sanctuary, and humans somewhere realized that they were part of a delicate system and it was high time that they gave respect to other species and learn to coexist with them.
