The film series is meant for guilty pleasure consumption, and the audience cannot seem to get enough of the chemistry between Noah (Nicole Wallace) and Nick (Gabriel Guevara). The step-sibling forbidden romance, the friction, the passion, and the clash of egos have been integral to the film series. In the final installment, the lovers, who had previously parted ways in Your Fault, crossed paths once again. Did they get back together, or did they admit that their relationship wasn’t meant to be? Let’s find out.

Spoiler Alert

Why did Noah plan to move away?

At Jenna and Lion’s wedding, Noah and Nick ran into each other for the first time since their breakup. Nick tried to play it cool, but his heart ached for Noah. She too couldn’t keep herself away from him for long. They ended up spending a night together, though Nick made it obvious that he hadn’t forgiven her (after the whole Michael situation). Noah mentioned that she appreciated him leaving a thoughtful message at her father’s tombstone before he left for London, but Nick didn’t want her to assume that he was still interested in being in a romantic relationship with her. But of course, by now it’s already been established that Noah and Nick can’t stay away from each other for long. Nick briefly got into a relationship with Sofia, a politician’s daughter and Nick’s personal attorney. He proposed they make their relationship official; he figured being with her would help fix his image after he made the rash decision of shutting down the insurance company in Spain his grandfather started. He needed to look for someone relatable in public, and Sofia didn’t mind having a formal partner. So, they ultimately decided to make their relationship public. Noah was heartbroken when she read about the new pair in the magazine, but she was happy for him. She had every intention of moving on, and she’d started seeing Simon, the owner of the tech company she’d recently joined. But as it soon turned out, Nick had invested in the Metaverse company, and he owned the majority of the shares. So, he once again had the power to control Noah’s life, and he made sure that she didn’t get to spend enough time with Simon. He was visibly envious, but instead of feeding into his jealousy, Noah took the high road and decided to resign. But since they were step-siblings, they couldn’t really completely cut ties with each other.

After William discovered in Your Fault that Maggie was his daughter, he decided to invite her to his mansion so that they could spend time together as a family. Soon after they came together as a family, Nick met his mother, Anabel. She knew her son despised her, but before things got any worse, she wanted him to know that she planned on giving William custody of Maggie. Nick was surprised; he wondered if his mother was abandoning Maggie just like she’d done with him. But Anabel explained that she was diagnosed with leukemia, and for the last four years she’d been struggling with it. She wanted to provide a safe future for Maggie, and she did what she had to to make sure that her daughter got the life she deserved. Nick wasn’t sure if he could trust his mother, but Anabel wanted him to know that she didn’t have much time left and she had no reason to lie anymore. Since she already had an emergency surgery appointment, she wanted Nick to take Maggie home with him. That night, Noah stayed with Nick. Although she knew it was going to mentally break her, she felt the need to be with him. The next morning, she regretted her decision and stormed out of the house.

As she was driving away, she noticed she was bleeding. She went to a hospital and was told that she was pregnant. She had an intrauterine hematoma, which was why she bled. The doctor warned her it was a high-risk pregnancy, so they had to get a couple of tests done to ensure she and the baby were doing okay. Noah was shocked, especially after she learned that she’d been pregnant for sixteen weeks, which meant Nick was the father of the child since it lined up perfectly with Jenna and Lion’s wedding. But Noah refused to share the news with Nick. She was ready to raise her child on her own. Life with Nick had always been uncertain, and she didn’t want to depend on him anymore. Noah planned to move to Santander and stay with her aunt. She didn’t intend on returning and was determined to build her life there.

Why did Sofia advise Nick to get back with Noah?

Sofia was a vengeful girlfriend. She was disappointed when she figured out that Noah and Nick were still in touch, especially because her relationship with Nick was already public. Sofia was responsible for making Michael’s life difficult, and no matter where he went, his behavioral conduct at the university (that he had slept with a student as a faculty counselor) continued to follow him. His senior was notified about Michael’s misconduct, so the hospital had decided to investigate the case, and his job was under threat. When Michael crossed paths with Noah, he’d mentioned how she’d ruined his life and begged her to stay away from him. Noah contacted Sofia, since she was Nick’s personal attorney, and also because she didn’t want to get Nick involved, and told her to leave him alone. Sofia thought Michael deserved to be punished after he and Briar had plotted against Noah and Nick, but Noah was ready to let it go. Later, when Noah found out about her pregnancy at the hospital, Michael saw her, and he decided to get his hands on her medical record.

When he discovered she was pregnant, he decided to use it to his advantage. He met Sofia to discuss a way to bury his past since the Leister Insurance Company (owned by Nick’s family) was one of the largest investors at the hospital. But as luck would have it, they’d recently liquidated their shares, so Sofia made it very clear that she couldn’t help him. He’d planned to blackmail Sofia by showing her the ultrasonography pictures of Noah’s child. He threatened to leak the information and destroy their reputation. After all, just before election season, she couldn’t afford a breakup scandal. Sofia knew that the news would affect not only her but also her father, yet she still cared about Nick. When she discovered during Anabel’s wake that Noah had decided to move to Santander, she felt sorry for her.

After Nick told her that he wanted to break up with her and that he also intended on selling his London apartment, she figured that he couldn’t keep Noah off his mind. She thought the way Noah had helped Maggie adjust to her new family was incredible, and she had a deep admiration for her. Nick thought he could’ve done it as well, but Sofia didn’t, because she believed Nick’s resentment always prevented him from doing the right thing. She finally decided to be honest with Nick and told him that his decision to shut down the insurance division and revamp the organization was simply his way of punishing his father for leaving his mother. The only reason he refused to be with Noah was because he couldn’t forgive her, and he was afraid of getting his heart broken. Sofia reminded Nick that what he considered ‘risky’ was actually living. She hoped that he would finally forgive Noah and make the effort to get back with her instead of trying to find a meaning to his existence through Maggie. Nick was thankful to Sofia for her honesty; even though she was coping with heartbreak, she chose to do the right thing instead of resorting to vengeance.

What made Noah stay?

Noah had packed her bags and was ready to leave when Nick showed up at Lion and Jenna’s house. He tried to convince her to stay, but she refused to listen to him. When he begged her to stand still and have a proper conversation with him, he noticed her bulging belly. She explained that her pregnancy was the reason why she’d decided to move away. Noah got in her car, but Nick refused to leave. Even though he was surprised after finding out about her pregnancy, he was ready to take responsibility and build a life together with her. Nick assumed that Simon was the father of the unborn child, but even then he was ready to accept the baby. Lion and Jenna announced that the baby was his, and Nick didn’t know if he should celebrate the news or chase after Noah. He realized it was important to stop her first, so he got in his car and stepped on the accelerator. Noah and Nick indulged in a bit of a car chase, something that they were both passionate about. Nick didn’t give up, and his passion for her convinced Noah to stay.

Who shot Nick?

Noah stopped her car at her parents’ mansion; she’d planned on sharing news of her pregnancy with her mother. Nick had followed her there, and just when the lovers were finally about to reunite, a protestor stepped in. At the end of Our Fault, the protester shot Nick in the abdomen and escaped. Ever since Nick had decided to shut down the insurance company, the employees had been staging a protest. His father had been subjected to humiliation, but since Nick was the one in charge now, he couldn’t really change the way the company worked anymore. Nick dismissed his father’s method and had tried to start something new. He intended to invest more in new-age tech companies and turned a blind eye to the protest. It was only after he discovered that his driver, Esteban’s son, had also lost his job at the insurance company that he finally realized how his one decision had affected families. After his eye-opening conversation with Sofia, Nick had decided to bring back all the employees (apart from the sales team that was already gone) from the insurance company to work at the new headquarters that would be headed by Simon. Of course, it wasn’t the best business move, but it was more humane. Nick was trying to fix the mess he’d created, but he ultimately had to pay the price for it all. Noah was devastated; the moment she thought her life was finally going to be alright, everything fell apart. When Nick blamed himself for his stupidity and stated that he deserved the pain and suffering, Noah reminded him that this was not the time to assign blame. Nick was admitted to a hospital, and we discover that he went into a coma for months.

What was Briar and Michael’s motive?

Nick’s family celebrated when he finally regained consciousness. He was overjoyed to see his son, who was born while he was in a coma. After everything they’d been through, Nick finally felt relieved to have Noah and their son with him. He assumed it had all worked out in the end, but the drama was not yet over! Noah had moved into a new house where she now lived with her baby and Nick. When she went downstairs to have a glass of water, Briar, Nick’s ex-girlfriend who blamed him and his family for her miscarriage, showed up in Nick’s room. She had a knife in one hand and their baby in the other. Her plan was to steal their baby because she believed Nick and Noah owed their child to her. Nick was still in recovery, and he struggled to move swiftly. Though amidst the commotion, he managed to press the SOS button. Meanwhile, Noah heard voices from upstairs, and when she was about to walk up the stairs, Michael showed up. Since Sofia had not accepted his proposal, he was terminated from his job. But before he left the hospital, he ran into Briar once again. She was mentally unstable and had been obsessing over her miscarriage. Instead of helping her heal, Michael directed her anger at Nick and Noah, and they’d once again teamed up to take them down.

Briar tried to run away with the baby, but Nick and Noah’s dog, Thor, came to the rescue. Noah instructed Thor to get back in the house, and she hoped that after saving Briar from her dog, she would trust her and hand her baby over to her. But Briar refused to part with the baby. Meanwhile, when Michael threatened to put a scar on Nick’s face, he warned him that Thor was standing right behind them and if his dog sensed that he was a threat, he wouldn’t think twice before tearing Michael apart. Michael was petrified when Thor started chasing him, and he ended up crashing into the glass window and falling onto the ground. Briar got distracted, and Noah used the opportunity to grab her son from her. Thankfully, by then, the cops had already arrived.

Did Noah And Nick End Up Together?

Our Fault’s ending suggests that Michael’s plan of settling abroad would remain unfulfilled. This time it was not just misconduct but a criminal offense, so he’ll have to spend some time in prison. Briar will possibly be locked up in a psych ward since she was clearly not fit to navigate the outside world yet. Considering Briar and Michael had tried to ruin their lives more than once, Nick and Noah likely got a restraining order against them. Nick definitely took his responsibility at the company more seriously and had learned not to take drastic decisions without consulting anyone. Maggie had clearly accepted William and Rafaella as her parents, and they tried their very best to provide her a happy, fulfilling life.

In the final scene of Our Fault, Nick and Noah exchanged vows. After navigating through the most deadly storms in their lives, they finally figured out that they were meant for each other. The ups and downs they experienced in their relationship were not solely the fault of one person. Both Nick and Noah had moments where they fell short in making their relationship work. It was only by acknowledging this shared responsibility that they were able to move forward in life. Noah bought Nick a swanky red racing car, and instead of a limousine, they left their wedding venue in their unique style, enjoying the one thing that they’ve always loved.
