I think this season of Single’s Inferno might be the most controversial of the lot for more reasons than one. But of course, the biggest problem everyone’s had is that Si-An got the most screen time. I’ve said this earlier too, but I’m reiterating that she’s at no fault here, and judging her character for trying to be sincere on a dating show is a little bit weird in my opinion. Having said that, I think we all knew which way she’d go at the end of the day. On the other hand, there’s the big debate about how all the men this season are really not worthy of any of the girls, and having seen the whole show, I’m inclined to agree. The show definitely started off really slow, and I thought it would never get interesting, but I can say it was quite entertaining, and there were some seriously shocking moments. Now how many couples were formed, and did they make sense to you? Let’s find out in the final two-episode recap of Single’s Inferno season 4.
Who Does Si-An Go to Paradise With?
I’m glad to say that I was right, and Si-An chose Jeong-Su to go to Paradise with to make her final decision. But the more interesting bit is that before the girls chose, there was some time for everyone to chit-chat, and of course, 3 of the girls wanted Dong-Ho, so they all had a chance to speak with him. Shockingly, it wasn’t just You-Jin he let down slowly; he did the same with Hae-Lin, admitting that he has feelings for A-Rin and won’t be swayed even with 2 days remaining. Ironically, A-Rin doesn’t get to hear this declaration of love, though, and Hae-Lin does end up choosing to go with Dong-Ho because she’s a fighter till the end. Now You-Jin’s first two options are already out of the picture, so everyone’s curious about who she’ll choose. Instead of going and having some fun and relaxing, she picks Jong-Hoon, because she still wants to try her luck in the game. Unfortunately for her though, he’s kind of made up his mind already, so even though he wants to be good to her because she chose him, he ends up being stoic and a little bit aloof by chance. The judges even nicknamed him “tour guide” because he keeps asking You-Jin what she wants to do next.
As you’d imagine, there’s a lot of screen time for Si-An and Jeong-Su, and there’s a lot of tension there too. Jeong-Su has feelings regarding Si-An choosing to rest her head on Jun-Seo’s shoulder when she was sitting in between them during their last visit to Paradise. In my opinion, this is a sign of possessiveness in Jeong-Su. Si-An was on a date with Jun-Seo, so she would, of course, be closer to him than Jeong-Su, who was there with another woman. In my opinion, they just brush off their problems during this date, also because they’re super tired. I think it becomes kind of obvious here who Si-An is leaning towards, but the hosts are divided. Jeong-Su also gives her another massage, reminding everybody why she’s conflicted in the first place.
In the Inferno, Ji-Yeon confronts Tae-Hwan about how she felt upset that he said he’s the kind to be single all his life, and Tae-Hwan attributes her confusion to him being bad at communicating his feelings. Apparently, he was trying to tell her that she could change his mind, but mate, that never came through. These two definitely have different personalities, but based on how things turned out in the end, the judges were definitely left stunned. I think it’s the end of episode 11 that really makes it clear that Si-An is going to choose Jun-Seo, because she’s mad that he isn’t curious about what she did in Paradise.
How Many Couples Come Out Of Single’s 4?
Now, I don’t know how You-Jin is so cheerful even after how Jun-Seo treated her, because when he comes to get Si-An, the second they’re free to talk, You-Jin’s just sitting there telling him he’s funny, like girl, we love your vibe. Si-An and Jun-Seo have a conversation where he basically admits that he’s chosen her and she’s delighted, but somehow Da-Hee still thinks she’s going to choose Jeong-Su in the end. Now, hear me out. When A-Rin gets Dong-Ho to choose jewelry for her and he puts it on for her, it’s adorable and they’re flirting, but when Min-Seol says Jun-Seo’s flirting with her because he puts on her necklace for her, the hosts say he’s not. I’m not saying you can’t get your friend to put on a necklace for you, but this is a dating show, and everyone and their mom knows Min-Seol likes Jun-Seo, so why didn’t he say something that would imply to her that they’re friends in that moment? Plus, he knows how young she is, so she might need a clearer picture.
On the other hand, Tae-Hwan and Ji-Yeon have a conversation again, and he claims that all the other ladies have told him that he treats her very lovingly. Everyone agrees he’s too self-absorbed, and Ji-Yeon’s just left confused. Red flag number two for Jeong-Su shows up when Si-An wonders what Jun-Seo is doing during their free time on the beach. To be fair, Jun-Seo is definitely seeking attention from everybody here, which warrants Si-An’s response, but Jeong-Su immediately wanders off and says he’s feeling sick, expecting her to come after him. She doesn’t. Man’s definitely possessive. At night, they get a delightful meal at the Inferno for the first time, and everybody is happy. They all learn each other’s ages, and everyone’s shocked at how young Min-Seol and Hae-Lin are. Also, You-Jin gets a little bit upset knowing she’s the oldest of the group, but man, I wish she didn’t care because she was definitely the most mature of the lot, even more than the men who were older than her. Min-Seol nearly cries asking Jun-Seo if he had a good time with her, which is really sad (fighting Min-Seol!).
Finally, it’s time for the final pairings to leave the Inferno. 4 pairs are formed in season 4 (ha!). Ji-Yeon actually believes in what Tae-Hwan has to say and chooses to go with him. Hye-Jin and Jong-Hoon are the couple that never got to go to Paradise. A-Rin and Dong-Ho are the pairing everyone’s rooting for, and finally, as we expected Si-An chooses Jun-Seo the beast over Jeong-Su the (apparent) angel. I do feel bad for Theo, because he could’ve tried to talk to other people on the show and may have found someone better suited for him. I do think You-Jin and he, or even Hae-Lin and he, would’ve made a good pairing. Think if you’ve got more options, your time on a show like Single’s Inferno is more worthy. Who was your favorite pairing in season 4, and who would you have liked to see pair up? Let us know in the comments down below. I think this season definitely divided people, and I’m curious to see how people react to the season finale.
