10. Sadak 2
Release Date – 28 August 2020
Sadak 2 is an upcoming film starring Sanjay Dutt, Pooja Bhatt, Alia Bhatt, and Aditya Roy Kapur. The film is directed by Mahesh Bhatt who has occupied the director’s chair on a film, after 20 long years.
Sadak 2 is the sequel of the film Sadak released in 1991. In Sadak 2, a young woman played by Alia Bhatt is set out to expose a godman (fake religious guru) who runs an ashram. She is aided in her journey by a man named Ravi, played by Sanjay Dutt.
The film will be directly released on the OTT platform and will stream on Disney+ Hotstar from 28 August 2020. If you are a fan of Sadak, then you should surely give it a go!
9. Bhuj: The Pride of India
Expected Release Date – September 2020
Bhuj: The Pride of India is a war action film featuring Ajay Devgn along with Sanjay Dutt and Sonakshi Sinha. The film is directed and written by Abhishek Dudhaiya and is set during the Indo-Pakistani War of 1971. It is about the life of IAF Squadron Leader Vijay Karnik (played by Ajay Devgn), the then in-charge of the Bhuj airport who and his team reconstructed the IAF airbase with the help of 300 women from the local village Madhapar.
The film is announced to be digitally released on Disney+ Hotstar OTT platform but no official date has been revealed.
8. Laxmmi Bomb
Expected Release Date – September 2020
Laxmmi Bomb is an upcoming comedy horror film starring Akshay Kumar in the lead role. It is written and directed by Raghava Lawrence which also marks his Hindi-Film directorial debut.
The film is an official remake of the Tamil movie Muni 2: Kanchana which was also directed by Raghava.
Recently, an official statement was released to release the film directly over the OTT platform with rights to stream held by Disney+Hotstar. The official streaming date has not been revealed by the distribution team but is expected to release in September.
7. Jayeshbhai Jordaar
Expected Release Date – 02 October 2020
Jayeshbhai Jordaar is an upcoming social comedy-drama film produced by Yash Raj Films and marks the debut of a director Divyang Thakkar. The film stars Ranveer Singh in the lead role.
Ranveer’s character, Jayesh Bhai is a Gujarati man who believes in equal rights between males and females in society. The film also marks the debut of Gujarati actress Deeksha Joshi. This movie will give you laughter and something to take away, so don’t forget to catch this movie!

6. Satyameva Jayate 2
Expected Release Date: 02 October 2020
Satyameva Jayate 2 is an upcoming 2020 vigilante action film starring John Abraham in the lead role. The film is directed by Milap Zaveri and produced by Bhushan Kumar and Nikkhil Advani.
The film is a sequel to the 2018 film of the same name. The concept is based on the fight against injustice and misuse of power. It was revealed that Abraham will also perform high action scenes in the film. So get ready for some action-packed drama this October!

5. The Big Bull
Expected Release Date: 23 October 2020
The Big Bull is an upcoming biographical crime film directed by Kookie Gulati. The storyline is a retelling of stockbroker Harshad Mehta’s life involving his financial crimes over a period of 10 years, from 1980 to 1990. It stars Abhishek Bachchan who will play Character of Harshad Mehta in the film.
The film will not be released theatrically and was announced to be digitally released on Disney+Hotstar. The film is expected to stream after 23rd October 2020. After Guru, Abhishek Bachchan will surely have lots in store with this film!
4. K.G.F – Chapter 2
Expected Release date: 23 October 2020
K.G.F: Chapter 2 is an upcoming period action film directed by Prashanth Neel. The film is a sequel to the 2018 film K.G.F: Chapter 1 which also stars Yash in the lead.
It would be a delight for the KGF fans to see Yash reprising his role from the first film. The film also stars Bollywood actor Sanjay Dutt who enters the arena as the antagonist. It would be a real treat to see their faceoff. A very intriguing poster of the film, picturing Sanjay Dutt in a Viking Avatar was released on Dutt’s Birthday.
K.G.F: Chapter 2 is expected to be released on 23 October 2020. No official announcement to release the film digitally has been made by the producers.
3. Prithviraj
Release date: 13 November 2020
Prithviraj is an upcoming historical action drama film starring Akshay Kumar and is directed by Chandraprakash Dwivedi. It is produced by Aditya Chopra under his production house banner Yash Raj Films.
The film follows the life of the Chahamana king Prithviraj Chauhan played by Akshay Kumar. Winner of 2017 Miss World Manushi Chhillar (in her film debut) will play Prithviraj’s wife Samyukta.
Let’s see if we get the same period drama vibes with this film! The film was scheduled to release in theatres in India on Diwali, but no official announcement to keep that date has been made by producers.
2. Brahmastra
Release date: 04 December 2020
Brahmāstra: Part One of Three is an upcoming action fantasy film starring Ranbir Kapoor. The film is written and directed by Ayan Mukerji, and produced by Karan Johar.
It also stars Amitabh Bachchan, Alia Bhatt, Mouni Roy and Akkineni Nagarjuna in pivotal roles and will serve as the first film in a planned trilogy. The film would portray Ranbir Kapoor’s character Rumi in a superhero role. It is one of the most speculated films of the year, as fans are eagerly waiting to see Ranbir playing a superhero on screen.
1. 83
Revised Release date: 25 December 2020
One of the most awaited films of the year is being held by director Kabir Khan’s sports drama film called 83. The film stars Ranveer Singh as Cricket Legend Kapil Dev and will narrate the story of India’s incredible cricket World Cup victory in 1983 under Kapil Dev’s captaincy.
The film was scheduled to get a theatrical release on 10 April 2020, but due to the Covid-19 pandemic, it has been shifted for a Christmas release this year.
