Unseen season 2 didn’t exactly end on a cliffhanger, but there were a lot of things left uncertain, and most of all, there was a possibility that the people would never come to know about what Harting was up to. Zenzi had taken her revenge, but the world still considered her a fugitive on the run. She still didn’t have any evidence to prove her innocence in the court of law, which is why she wanted to leave the country and start fresh. Though there hasn’t been any official announcement of Unseen season 3 happening, let’s speculate and theorize what could happen to the various characters in the near future.

Will Morkel try to expose Harting?
Hate is a powerful emotion, and I believe it provides fertile soil for vengeance. It can act as a catalyst in a man’s quest for revenge. Morkel had felt hurt after his colleague, Detective Natasha Lyners, had been killed while investigating Zenzi’s case. Lyners knew that Zenzi was telling the truth and Andrew Harting was somebody who could destroy a person if they came in his way. But Lyners’ pursuit for truth couldn’t go on for long as Harting made sure that she met her fateful end. Also, Lyners’ contact, the mole inside the Harting administration, Jacob Butler, was also killed by Harting. Morkel felt guilt over not being there for Lyners when she needed him the most, and, he wanted to make sure that the truth came out in the open at all costs. The battle was personal for Morkel, and I don’t think that he’ll give up on his quest so easily. Yes, I agree that Reuben and Harting had been murdered, but still the truth was not out in the open. People saw Harting as an industrialist who was working day and night to make South Africa a better place to live in. They still saw him as someone who was solving the energy crisis of the country. But nobody knew how he had ruined the lives of the people who came in his way: how he had bought the entire system, how he had the public prosecutor on his payroll, and how his sole intention was to earn profits even if it came at the cost of betraying his own nation. Morkel had realized that Harting had his hold even over the law enforcement authorities, and there were people who were leaking information to him. I don’t think that Morkel will stay quiet and let everyone believe that Harting was a great man. He will gather evidence, try to pin down people like public prosecutor Dawn Molewa who were a rot in the system, initiate legal proceedings, and make sure the court finds Harting and his co-conspirators guilty.
Will Dawn Molewa Become A Threat To Zenzi?
The reveal of Dawn Molewa’s real intentions, I believe, was the biggest twist in Unseen season 2. Lufuno had told Zenzi that if she needed somebody to stand alongside her in her fight for justice, then she should go and contact Dawn Molewa. Zenzi, Morkel, and even Raymond risked their lives, went to Reuben’s house, and took the thumb drive on which he had secretly recorded the conversation that Harting had with his board members and other private parties. Zenzi knew that if she was able to give that thumb drive to an honest officer of the law, like Dawn, then the truth would come out in the open and the people would get to know how a greedy businessman was not only spreading corruption but also wasting taxpayers’ hard-earned money. Zenzi gave the thumb drive to Dawn, and that’s when she realized that Dawn was working for Harting. She was one of the key members of Harting’s organization, and she felt lucky that, of all people, Zenzi had chosen her to spill the secrets to. Molewa gave a call to Harting and told him about what Reuben was up to and how she had saved the reputation of the entire company. I believe that after Harting’s death, Molewa will take charge of the company as she had a good hold over the system, and she seemed like an authoritative woman who knew how to manage the board and keep them in order. What would be interesting to see is how she reacts once she gets to know that Harting has been killed. I don’t think that she would go after Zenzi immediately, as Morkel was still out there, and he was well aware of Molewa’s allegiances. Also, Morkel’s boss, Davids, seemed like a righteous man, and I think he would not sit idly by once he got to know what Molewa was up to. I wouldn’t be surprised if Molewa becomes the main antagonist of Unseen season 3. She would definitely be at the helm of affairs, and I have a feeling that she wouldn’t want to leave any loose ends. When the dust settles, and Harting’s murder becomes a thing of the past, Molewa will definitely go after Zenzi and either kill her or make sure that she has some good leverage over her so that she does not open her mouth ever again.
What’s next for Zenzi?
Well, Zenzi might have acted in self-defense, with bona fide intentions, and she might have been the victim, but it was a fact that she had killed multiple people. So if a court trial was initiated against her, she would definitely have to serve time, even if the court took into consideration the circumstances she was in (her pregnancy). Also, with somebody as powerful as Dawn Molewa against her, I don’t think that Zenzi would have gotten a fair trial. Moreover, Zenzi and Morkel didn’t have any solid evidence to prove what Harting had done. So in the present scenario, it was best for her to leave the country and board the plane that Harting had arranged for her. She found an unlikely ally in Kailo, Harting’s butler, who seemed to have a lot of empathy for Zenzi. So for now, I think Zenzi will leave the country, but the question remains if she will be able to live in peace with her child in Harare, Zimbabwe, with Max’s mother. Well, I don’t see that happening. I believe that if there is a season 3, Zenzi will be pulled back into the swamp. Either her conscience will trigger her to do something, or Dawn Molewa’s actions will act as a catalyst. She had messed with really powerful people, and I don’t think that Dawn Molewa would want to leave any loose ends. Also, it is to be noted that Zenzi’s sister, Naledi, and her husband, John, were still in the century, and Dawn Molewa could use them as leverage against Zenzi. Though the perpetrators had been killed, the people still didn’t know the truth. Somebody like Dawn Molewa could operate in the shadows and not let the world know about her real intentions. I believe that in season 3, Zenzi will come back to fight for justice just so that in the future any rich, powerful man doesn’t frame an innocent man and doesn’t ruin the life of a woman for no fault of hers.
