‘Wednesday’ Season 2 Part 2 Theories: Will Tyler Kill Enid?

Published

The first part of Netflix’s Wednesday season 2 ends in chaos with the fate of all the key characters hanging in the balance. In episode 4’s ending, Judi, the serial killer who had been controlling the one-eyed raven, arrived at the secret basement before Wednesday and Uncle Fester could release her father’s lab subjects. Judi pointed a gun at the nosy duo and, through a big monologue, told them all about her father’s wicked scheme to steal the powers of the Outcasts. Obviously, Judi had planned to kill Wednesday and Fester, but before she could do so, Fester attacked her with a huge electric blast that disabled the power grid of the entire Willow Hill asylum, as a result of which all the patients and the prisoners were released from their confines, including Tyler Galpin, aka, the Hyde. Most of the guards turned up dead, and those who survived ran for their lives. It was madness all around.

I think it’s pretty safe to assume that most of Wednesday’s adversaries, who were locked up in the asylum, had fled the hospital and might be planning to exact their revenge on her for putting them behind bars in the first place. Well, I know you saw Tyler throwing Wednesday out of the window, but as the trailer of part 2 revealed, she isn’t dead. She was in a coma for a brief period of time, but at the end of the trailer, she eventually opens her eyes to finish the task at hand. So I am going to do some trailer sleuthing to speculate about everything we can expect from the second part of Wednesday season 2.

The Hyde Will Attack Enid

The central conflict of season 2 was that Wednesday had a psychic vision in which she saw Enid’s grave. And as the eyeless bodies started turning up all over Jericho, she started to believe that the serial killer on the loose was going to target her best friend, which was why she was so keen on finding the master of the one-eyed raven, who was none other than Judi, an Avian. However, I don’t think it’s Judi who is going to attack Enid. Instead, it will be Tyler, who blames Enid for sending him to Willow Hill. I know it all sounds a bit random, because it was Wednesday who exposed Tyler and got him arrested, but Tyler himself told Wednesday that he was going to kill her best friend the next time he saw her to make her pay for sticking her nose in his business. If you remember, in season 1’s ending, it was Enid, in her werewolf form, who had beaten Tyler’s Hyde black and blue, after which he was captured. And now that he has escaped his confinement, it’s quite plausible that he will target Enid to settle the score. But from what I can judge from the twists and turns in the narrative, he won’t be able to take out Enid but might end up killing her new boyfriend, Bruno, who’s a werewolf too. The reason I have brought up Bruno’s potential death is because Enid has been avoiding her ex, Ajax, lately, because she thinks she doesn’t have feelings for him anymore, but Ajax still likes her. So with Bruno out of the picture, I believe Ajax may be able to fill the void and be there for Enid, preparing her for a final clash with Tyler, where it is she who’s going to avenge Bruno’s death. Well, that’s just a theory, and I would really love to be wrong, but if you think this one holds any water, please do tell me in the comments below. Also, I forgot to mention, the exact reason why Tyler didn’t threaten to kill Wednesday was because he still has feelings for her and wants to pillage the world with her, but nah… Wednesday isn’t interested, and nor will she ever be, so she is going to reject him for the second time, making him do something no one expects. There’s also a possibility that Tyler will try to avenge his father’s death, though I am not quite sure of this one, as he had never been very close to his father and hated him till the very end. And remind me, what happened to his mother? Is she still alive? If yes, then she might return too, because Tyler is going to be the second biggest antagonist of season 2 part 2. The first one being “Slurp.”

The True Identity of Slurp

I believe Pugsley’s zombie pet, Slurp, has been the most interesting addition to the Wednesday universe so far. In part 1, the authorities captured him after he tried to kill a lot of people and sent him to Willow Hill for everyone’s safety. However, before the power outage in the facility, Slurp managed to escape his chamber and started rampaging. In the end, he came across a paralyzed Dr. Augustus Stonehearst, whom he called his old friend, but what does that mean? I guess eating all those brains regenerated Slurp’s own gray matter and brought his memories back, which was why he was able to recognize Stonehearst; he either used to work with him or was subjected to the same tests the other Outcasts were. We know that Slurp (or whatever his real name is) was once a student at Nevermore Academy, which suggests that he could have come across Stonehearst who was a guest lecturer at the same school. And something tells me that it was Slurp who created that big machine we saw in the Willow Hill basement, and Stonehearst stole it from Nevermore’s boy genius. Well, there are too many inconsistencies in there. I really hope that the second part will explain the exact relationship between Slurp and Stonehearst and how these two scientists pulled off the greatest invention of their time.

In the teaser for part 2, Slurp is looking more human than ever. I think eating all those brains didn’t just rejuvenate his nervous system but his entire body. There are no more cracks on his face, and his hair looks more natural. In one of the scenes in the sneak peek teaser, he opens the door to a cellar, which could be his secret lab or somewhere he used to conduct his experiments. I think it was Slurp who created the power-extracting machine for Stonehearst before he learned the evil Normie’s true intentions and tried to stop him. That’s when Stonehearst jeopardized his experiment and killed him, burying him in an unmarked grave underneath the Skull Tree. And you see, with such betrayal comes hatred, agony. So it’s likely that Slurp will unleash his rage upon the entire “Normie world” and try to kill until none are left. It’s possible that he’s going to be the next baddie of part 2, but like I said earlier, I could be wrong.

Judi Will Strike Back

We all wanted Judi to get arrested for the crimes she had committed, but unfortunately, she managed to escape the asylum with the rest of the patients, which means only one thing: she’s going to strike back, and this time, she has all the more reason to do so. Earlier, she targeted people who tried to expose her true identity, but this time, it’s personal. Wednesday and Uncle Fester not only released all the “Outcasts” in her captivity, but also ruined her chances of continuing her father’s legacy. So, she’s going to send that one-eyed raven to keep an eye on her again, and as soon as Wednesday comes out of her coma, she’s going to try to kill her or hurt the people around her to exact her revenge. But yes, Wednesday will likely defeat her for the second time and get her arrested and give her a taste of her own medicine and put her behind bars just like she had locked up those innocent Outcasts in the basement.

Ophelia Will Make an Appearance

Morticia’s missing sister, Ophelia, has been one of the most talked about off-screen characters of part 1, and it would be blasphemy if she doesn’t make an appearance in the second part. I believe that Ophelia was one of the prisoners subjected to Stonehearst’s evil experiment, and when Wednesday liberated the asylum from Judi’s tyranny, she found her aunt too, who may help her to get her powers back. I mean, after she returns to her senses herself. So, Ophelia is going to play an important role in the second part of the show, where she will help Wednesday to track down the adversaries who escaped Willow Hill so the aunt-niece duo can finally bring back peace to Jericho. Also, Ophelia’s return will help Morticia find some closure and settle her differences with her mother, Hester Frump.

The Curious Case of Principal Barry Dort

After watching the first four episodes, I am still not able to discern what Dort’s true motives are. I mean, I know he is working for the upliftment of the Outcasts so they can flourish in a “Normie world,” but his methods are quite dicey, for lack of a better word. In the first part, he threatened Bianca Barclay, a siren, to use her powers on Morticia and manipulate her into asking for donations from her filthy rich mother, Hester, for his fundraising campaign, which screams of a scam. So once again, Dort isn’t your ideal principal, even though his intentions may seem good. It’s possible that he’s working for someone, and we will find out more about this mysterious puppeteer in part 2? Hence, we still don’t know if Dort really has been raising money to save the school from being shut down, or if he’s just some greedy fella who wants to fill his own pocket in the name of charity?

Bianca’s Revolt

If you remember Bianca’s arc from season 1, then you might remember that the reason why she left her mother’s side was because she didn’t want to scam people for their money using her siren’s powers. Now in season 2, her mother herself has left her ex-boyfriend’s cult and gotten him arrested for his crimes. But irony has it, Dort was threatening Bianca to pull off the same scam with Morticia and use her powers to milk money for the fundraising gala. But I am sure Bianca doesn’t want to relive her former life as a scammer, and will sooner or later revolt against their principal, either by lifting her spell from Morticia or exposing Dort in front of the whole school. And guess who’ll help her to pull off such a stunt? Well, our very own Wednesday.

So, these are a bunch of wild theories and speculations I could come up with for the next part of Wednesday season 2, but if you have anything further to add, please be my guest.
