5 ‘Korean Dramas’ to Watch on ‘Amazon Prime Video’ in December 2021

Over the recent surge of the Korean Wave, the viewership of K-Dramas has increased globally. Viki has an extensive catalog of East Asian entertainment, and Netflix has also started adding more Korean Drama titles. Following the same trend, Amazon Prime Video added some popular K-Dramas titles on their platform in November 2021, and the number keeps increasing as they add more in December. Check out below to find the newly added Korean Dramas on Amazon Prime Video.


Doctors

Doctors is a popular medical Korean Drama featuring Kim Rae Won, Park Shin Hye, and Lee Seung Kyung. Yoon Hye Jung used to be a problematic student in high school and was also involved in gangster activities. Her life changes when she meets professor Hong Ji Hong who motivates her to become the talented neurosurgeon that she is today. Hye Jung, her friend, turned enemy Jin Seo Woo and Hong Ji Hong meet again at the same hospital after 13 years which reignites the old love triangle.  


Taxi Driver

Taxi Driver is a thriller Korean Drama released in 2021 featuring Lee Je Hoon, Esom, Kim Eui Sang and, Pyo Ye Jin as main characters. Kim Do Gi has graduated from Korean Military Academy and now works for the Navy as an official in Underwater Demolition Team (UDT). Do Gi’s mother was killed by a serial killer, and he has wanted to take revenge ever since. Do Gi joins Rainbow Deluxe Taxi as an undercover taxi driver. The company gets a ‘revenge call’ from the customers, to which they punish the criminal offenders illegally. The law system can be unjust many times, leading people to want to break it.   


Strangers from Hell

A psychological thriller featuring Im Siwan and Lee Dong Wook as lead characters, Strangers from Hell is the screen adaptation of the webtoon of the same name. Yoon Jong-Woo moves to Seoul to work in a company as an intern. He is low on money, so he starts living in a cheap dormitory for the time being. He has got quite unusual neighbors. He starts experiencing weird and mysterious things happening but ignores them as he thinks he will move out once he gathers enough money. However, after specific incidents, Jong Woo starts fearing for his life and wonders if he is safe anymore or not.  


Secret Garden

Secret Garden is a hit 2010 Korean Drama featuring Ha Ji Won, Hyun Bin, Yoon Sang Hyun and, Kim Sa Rang as main characters. The story follows the iconic trope of rich CEO male character and commoner female character, but here, it comes with a twist. Kim Joo Won is CEO of a departmental store, and Gil Ra Im is a stuntwoman. When they first meet, Joo Won is already impressed by Ra Im. He starts pursuing her, but his mother opposes this love relationship. More chaos arises when Joo Won and Ra Im start switching bodies.


Voice (Season 1-4)

Voice is a crime thriller series that shows the lives and adventures of 112 crime emergency call center and dispatch team members as they fight the crimes with their ability to follow the sounds. The first season of Voice was released in 2017 and featured Lee Ha Na as Kwang Kwon Joo and Jang Hyuk as Moo Jin Hyuk. In the next three seasons, the male is replaced by Lee Jin-Wook as Do Kang Woo while the female character stays the same. The series has been remade into Japanese and Thai Language.
