‘Mortal Kombat Legends: Scorpion’s Revenge’ Summary & Ending Explained

Published

Mortal Kombat Legends: Scorpion’s Revenge as the title suggests is a tale of vengeance fueled by a rivalry between two ninja clans. This animated film uses the popular characters of Mortal Kombat and places them in a tournament where each fighter pushes his victory in order to protect his realm. The fighters from the earth share a special burden because Earth Realm has already lost the tournament 9 times and another loss would leave the fate of its existence in the hands of the winner.

What is ‘Mortal Kombat’?

Mortal Kombat is a knockout tournament between fighters. It was created by Elder Gods in order to safeguard each realm from the threat of invasion. In Mortal Kombat, the finest warriors of each realm fight to decide the fate of their realm. The winner not only protects his home but is also granted a long life and great power. Not only this, if any realm manages to win the tournament 10 times, they are offered the right to merge with the other realm and rule as they see fit.

In Mortal Kombat Legends: Scorpion’s Revenge, Shao Kahn, the Emperor of the Outer realm has already won 9 times against the Earth Realm, and thus it is a life-death situation for the earth fighters to win this tournament at any cost.
