Episode 4 of “She-Hulk: Attorney at Law” saw Jennifer Walters/She-Hulk (Tatiana Maslany) being hired by none other than Wong (Benedict Wong) to deal with an ex-student of the Mystic Arts, Donny Blaze (Rhys Coiro). Walters actually lost the case because there was no written law to stop someone from performing real or fake magic. But that win backfired on Donny as he mistakenly opened a portal to a dimension with small demonic monsters. So, Donny had to ask for Wong’s help to deal with the situation. And since there were too many monsters, Wong had to put a pause to Jennifer’s date with Arthur (Michel Curiel) and get her to fight them. Once that was done, Wong promptly returned her to Arthur. The following day, though, Jennifer got sued by Titania (Jameela Jamil) for calling herself the She-Hulk even though it had been trademarked.

Nikki And Pug Get An Appointment With Superhero Suit-Maker Alonzo
Episode 5, titled “Mean, Green, and Straight Poured into These Jeans,” opens with Jennifer noticing the copious amounts of advertising that Titania is doing to ensure that the name “She-Hulk” is associated with her and her only. Cousin Ched (Nicholas Cirillo) even goes and buys a bunch of Titania’s products, assuming that it has something to do with Jennifer, and brings them to her house to get them signed. You know, so that he can sell them and make some money off of it. But Jennifer tells him that those are Titania’s products and not hers. And as if she hadn’t thought of it a hundred times over, Ched reminds her that she should have trademarked her own superhero name before Titania. That’s when the only consistently funny joke happens, as the title card changes from “She-Hulk: Attorney at Law” to “She-Hulk by Titania.”
Jennifer, accompanied by Nikki (Ginger Gonzaga), decides to fire a warning shot by entering Titania’s fan convention and telling her to stop selling her sham products under the She-Hulk brand. Titania obviously refuses. So, Jennifer tries to convince herself that she never wanted to be called the She-Hulk. That’s why she doesn’t care if anyone else is using that name. But, given how she angrily crumples her stapler, it’s evident that she is angry about the whole situation with her name. While Jennifer deals with her anger issues, Nikki and Augustus’ Pug’ Pugliese (Josh Segarra) go to a boba cafe shop, which is apparently a front for Alonzo’s (Griffin Matthews) superhero costuming business. The guy at the reception doesn’t let them in that easily, though. It’s only after Nikki and Pug buy a bunch of knock-off Avengers items that he lets them talk to Alonzo, who agrees to a 15-minute consultation when Nikki lies that She-Hulk is an Avenger.
Jennifer Comes Up With An Idea To Win Her Case Against Titania
Holden Holliway (Steve Coulter) tells Jennifer that she has to win back the name “She-Hulk” from Titania because GLK and H’s superhero division is synonymous with that name. Mallory Book (Renée Elise Goldsberry) is assigned as Jennifer’s attorney. The first question that Book asks Walters is the same one that everyone has been asking: why didn’t she trademark her own pseudonym? Walters says that Doctor Strange (Benedict Cumberbatch) or Thor (Chris Hemsworth) never had to do that. So, naturally, the thought didn’t cross her mind. Book reminds her that those aren’t their superhero names. These are their actual names. That said, she says that they are going to countersue Titania with the claim that Jennifer was already using the name “She-Hulk” in a professional capacity even before the trademark date of the title. And Titania is only profiting off of that name’s popularity in the market. Also, she tells Jennifer to dress better to show that she has some sense of self-respect.
On the first day of the hearing, Mallory cites the aforementioned reasons to explain why Jennifer deserves to have her “She-Hulk” moniker. Meanwhile, Titania’s lawyer says that Jennifer has publicly stated that she doesn’t want to be associated with that name. Mallory counters by showing the clipping where Jennifer says that it doesn’t matter if she likes her superhero name or not, because she is stuck with it. The judge asks Mallory to show a clear pattern of Jennifer being associated with the name “She-Hulk.” If she fails, she has to side with Titania. After a brief meeting with Alonzo for her superhero suits, Jennifer and Nikki return to their office only to find out that Todd (Jon Bass), i.e., the guy from one of Jennifer’s dates, is one of their biggest clients. And even though he comes off as creepy as ever before, it gives Jennifer the idea to bring in her dates as witnesses because she went out with them as the She-Hulk.
‘She-Hulk’ Episode 5: Ending Explained – Yes, That Is Daredevil’s New Helmet
Mallory agrees to bring in Todd, Derek (David Otunga), Noah (Eddy Rioseco), and Arthur (Michel Curiel) to essentially testify that they went on a date with She-Hulk. Apparently, that’ll prove that Jennifer sees the She-Hulk as a part of her identity and not something that she wants to use for money. Derek, Noah, and Todd clearly state that Jennifer did, in fact, refer to herself as the She-Hulk. Derek says that she came off as a little too try-hard, and he didn’t like that. Noah says that she kept referring to herself in the third person, and as a writer, he found that to be grating. Todd says that Jennifer confided in him that she didn’t like the name initially, but she eventually embraced it (while patting himself on the back as a man to whom a woman can open up to). Finally, Arthur says that he had a great date with She-Hulk and was impressed by the fact that she battled demons.
Then, Mallory brings up a difficult question. She asks Arthur if he would’ve gone on a date if She-Hulk had instead presented herself as Jennifer Walters. Arthur says that he wouldn’t have. Based on that, the judge decides to side with Jennifer and orders Titania to immediately stop using the name “She-Hulk.” On their way out, Mallory tells Jennifer that she’s surprised that she let herself be degraded just so that she could get back her superhero name. That said, she tells Jennifer that she deserves better than all those men and that she can do better. They also dunk on Holliway for paying She-Hulk the “medium bucks” even though she brings so much to the table while dealing with all these underwhelming men. After being reminded by Mallory to get better clothes, Jennifer goes to Alonzo’s to get her suits. While she tries them off-screen, we get a glimpse of Daredevil’s (Charlie Cox) new yellow helmet. In the credits, we see Jennifer tackling a case involving a knock-off Avengers merch, Ched selling Titania’s products, Holliway trying Titania’s “booty boost” juice, and Pug showing off his Iron Man shoes to Nikki.
