TVF Tripling – A Cheerful Misadventure!

Published

TVF Tripling is a very humorous and fresh web series by TVF after Permanent Roommates, written by Akarsh Khurana. It is a journey of three siblings, Chandan, Chanchal, and Chitvan, who set out to find themselves and their relations.

Chandan returns to India after a broken marriage and goes to meet his younger brother Chitvan who is living off his life, as a DJ, drinking, and smoking. They both stop at Jaipur to meet their sister Chanchal, married to a Rajasthani prince, Pranav. Before they realize they head on to an unplanned, accidental road trip to their home. The relationship and chemistry between these three siblings are what makes this series so upbeat and euphoric, whether it is Chitvan calling his elder brother, “beautiful Baba” or sharing their secrets in the middle of nowhere.

“Life ke saare problems ka ek hi solution hai, Road Trip!”

The second season of Tripling is no less than its first season, but with more fun and punchlines. In this season we get to see the mature side of the siblings. Chanchal has entered into politics, Chitvan is a full-time father and Chandan is a renowned writer of a book, Tripling which is soon to be made as a movie. Kubra Sait, a human rights lawyer, is married to Chitvan having a very peculiar relationship. The journey begins from Delhi with pit stops in Jaipur, Lucknow, Kolkata, and final touchdown in Sikkim.

“Pichhli baar majboori ke wajah se road trip kiya tha, iss baar bond karenge.”

Cameo by Gajraj Rao and Shweta Tripathi is just one of the things which makes the second season all the more special. Rajit Kapur, as a detective in Kolkata, has done a commendable job for the series.

All three main leads Sumeet Vyas, Maanvi Gagroo, and Amol Parashar have given excellent performances with their dialogue delivery and comic timing. The relationship they have portrayed seems authentic and relatable. Kunaal Roy Kapur as the Rajasthani prince is an add on you just can’t miss. The background score is phenomenal with a DJ on board! The soundtrack does steal the show and make this road trip a merry one. Even the wrong playlist in the wrong situation seems fine and just makes you laugh your heart out, like Chitvan playing the “Mada Faka” song in a family function in Rajasthan.

The engaging Script and Dialogues gives this series a unique style. Each episode is a marvelous adventure to enjoy. The storyline seems real, filled with emotions and humor. The actors, including the supporting cast, did complete justice to the script. With its fair share of bumps, their journey is worth being a part of.

“We are going to be a franchise just like Marvel, baba? Main bhi doll banega?”

Story, performance, and dialogues aside, the series is marvelously directed showing the different locations along the road trip. The show will definitely make you pack your bag, hop on a car, and drive away on a road trip with your siblings!
